Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of teacher competencies in Christian Religious Education (PAK) through social inquiry-based learning at SD Negeri 066653 Medan Helvetia. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The research subjects consisted of PAK teachers and fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 066653 Medan Helvetia. The findings reveal that the implementation of pedagogical, personal, social, and professional competencies by PAK teachers through social inquiry-based learning effectively enhanced students' understanding of religious concepts, social skills, and critical thinking. Furthermore, this learning approach encouraged students to relate Christian values to contemporary social issues in their daily lives. The study recommends further development of the social inquiry learning model within the context of religious education at the elementary school level.
