Global Perspectives on Christian Education and Theology (GPCET) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. Authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers are expected to follow ethical behavior standards as outlined below.

1. Duties of Authors

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their submissions are original works and free from plagiarism. Proper citation and acknowledgment of others’ work must be given.

  • Multiple Submissions: Manuscripts must not be submitted to more than one journal at the same time.

  • Authorship: All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as co-authors.

  • Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that may influence their work.

  • Data Access and Retention: Authors should be prepared to provide raw data related to their manuscript if requested for editorial review.

2. Duties of Editors

  • Fair Review Process: Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased peer-review process and evaluate manuscripts based solely on academic merit.

  • Confidentiality: Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and not disclose any information to unauthorized parties.

  • Publication Decisions: Editors are responsible for deciding which articles should be published, based on the reviewers’ evaluation and the journal’s policies.

  • Handling Misconduct: Editors must take appropriate actions when ethical complaints are reported concerning a submitted or published paper.

3. Duties of Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat the manuscripts they review as confidential documents.

  • Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, with constructive and clear feedback.

  • Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.

4. Publisher’s Responsibilities

  • Ethical Oversight: CV. Didaktika Edukasi Nusantara, as the publisher of GPCET, takes its duties of guardianship over all stages of the publishing process seriously.

  • Dealing with Misconduct: The publisher, in collaboration with the editorial board, will take appropriate action when ethical breaches or publication misconduct are identified.
