Global Perspectives on Christian Education and Theology (GPCET) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content.

1. Digital Archiving

To guarantee digital preservation, all articles published in GPCET are archived in multiple repositories and systems. The journal utilizes the following archiving strategies:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)
GPCET implements the LOCKSS system to ensure a secure and permanent archive of the journal content. This allows participating libraries to preserve journal content by regularly collecting and storing it.

  • PKP Preservation Network (PN)
Through integration with Open Journal Systems (OJS), GPCET participates in the PKP Preservation Network, which provides distributed archiving and long-term access.

  • Internet Archive
Selected issues and articles are also stored in the Internet Archive as an additional layer of backup.

2. Self-Archiving Policy (Green Open Access)

Authors are allowed to:

  • Deposit the submitted, accepted, or published version of their manuscript in institutional or subject repositories.

  • Share their work on personal websites, institutional profiles, or academic networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu), with proper citation and link to the journal's original version.

There are no embargo periods for self-archiving.

3. Metadata Indexing

GPCET ensures that all published articles are registered with persistent identifiers (DOIs) and indexed in scholarly databases to enhance discoverability and long-term access.
