Author Guidelines

Journal of Christian Pedagogy and Theology (JCPT) welcomes original research articles, literature reviews, and theological reflections in the fields of Christian education and theology. Authors are encouraged to read the following guidelines carefully before submitting their manuscripts.

1. Submission Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

  • Submissions must be written in English (or Bahasa Indonesia if permitted by the editor).

  • All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.

  • There are no article processing charges (APCs) for submission or publication.

2. Manuscript Format

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt

  • Spacing: 1.5 line spacing

  • Margin: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides

  • Paper size: A4

  • Length: 4,000–7,000 words (including references)

3. Structure of the Manuscript

Each manuscript should generally include the following components:

  1. Title

    • Clear, concise, and informative. Avoid abbreviations or jargon.

  2. Author(s) Name and Affiliation

    • Include full names, institutional affiliation, and email address for each author.

  3. Abstract

    • 150–250 words summarizing the purpose, method, findings, and conclusion.

  4. Keywords

    • 3 to 5 keywords, separated by commas.

  5. Introduction

    • Background, research problem, objectives, and significance.

  6. Literature Review / Theoretical Framework (optional but recommended)

  7. Methodology

    • Research design, data collection, analysis, and ethical considerations.

  8. Results and Discussion

    • Present findings clearly and relate them to existing literature.

  9. Conclusion

    • Highlight main findings, implications, and suggestions for future research.

  10. References

  • Use APA Style (7th Edition) consistently.

4. Citations and References

  • Use in-text citation in APA 7th style. Example: (Smith, 2022).

  • List all references alphabetically at the end of the article.

  • Only include sources that are cited in the text.

5. Plagiarism Policy

  • JCPT strictly prohibits plagiarism and self-plagiarism.

  • All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software.

  • Manuscripts with a similarity index of more than 20% may be rejected.

6. Peer Review Process

  • All submitted manuscripts will undergo double-blind peer review.

  • Reviewers’ identities are kept confidential.

  • The editorial team reserves the right to accept, request revision, or reject any submission.

7. Copyright and Licensing

  • Authors retain copyright of their work.

  • All published articles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).

8. Submission Checklist

Before submitting, ensure that:

  • The manuscript follows the formatting guidelines.

  • The text is proofread and free of grammatical errors.

  • All authors are listed with complete affiliations.

  • The references follow APA 7th style.
