Abstract

This study aims to determine the magnitude of the positive and significant effect of the Student Teams-Achievement Division (STAD) learning model on the learning activeness of Christian Religious Education and Character students in Grade VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Siborongborong during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research hypothesis posits that there is a positive and significant effect of the STAD learning model on the learning activeness of Christian Religious Education and Character students in Grade VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Siborongborong, North Tapanuli Regency, during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a quantitative approach using a Pre-Experimental Design in the form of a One-Shot Case Study. The population consisted of all 120 Protestant Christian students in Grade VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Siborongborong. The sampling technique was non-probability sampling using purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 30 students. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The data analysis results revealed: a) The correlation and t-test values were rcount= 0.510 > rtable = 0.361 and tcount = 3.137 > ttable =2.048, indicating a positive and significant relationship between the STAD learning model and the learning activeness of Christian Religious Education and Character students in Grade VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Siborongborong, North Tapanuli Regency, during the 2024/2025 academic year. b) The regression equation was Y^=−3.0796+1.766 X. c) The coefficient of determination showed an effect size of 26.01%. d) The hypothesis testing using the F-test yielded Fcount= 9.850 >Ftable =3.32, resulting in the rejection of H0​ and the acceptance of Ha​. The study concludes that the Student Teams-Achievement Division (STAD) learning model has a positive and significant effect on the learning activeness of Christian Religious Education and Character students in Grade VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Siborongborong, North Tapanuli Regency, during the 2024/2025 academic year.
