Screening for Plagiarism Policy
The International Journal of Community Service and Empowerment (IJCSE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. To ensure the originality of submitted manuscripts, the journal implements a strict plagiarism screening policy.
Plagiarism Check Procedure:
-
All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using reliable plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate, or equivalent).
-
Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content—whether from the authors' own previous work (self-plagiarism) or from others—will be immediately rejected or returned to the authors for correction.
Acceptable Similarity Threshold:
-
A similarity index of less than 20% is considered acceptable.
-
Similarity from one single source should not exceed 3%.
-
Properly cited quotations and references are excluded from the similarity score.
Consequences of Plagiarism:
-
If plagiarism is detected before publication, the manuscript will be rejected.
-
If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article will be retracted and the authors may be blacklisted from future submissions.
-
In severe cases, the journal may notify the authors' affiliated institutions.
Author Responsibility:
-
Authors are fully responsible for the content of their submitted work.
-
It is the authors’ obligation to ensure that their manuscript is original and appropriately cites all sources.
By submitting to IJCSE, authors agree to adhere to this plagiarism screening policy.
