Author Guidelines
Authors who wish to submit their manuscript to the International Journal of Community Service and Empowerment (IJCSE) are expected to follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth review and publication process.
1. General Requirements

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

Manuscripts must be written in English using clear, academic language.

All submissions must be made through the journal's online submission system.

Authors must use the provided article template (downloadable from the journal website).
-
There are no article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees.
2. Manuscript Format

File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
-
Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt
-
Spacing: 1.5 lines
-
Margins: 2.5 cm (top, bottom, left, and right)
-
Length: 4,000–7,000 words (including references)
3. Structure of the Manuscript
The manuscript should be structured as follows:
a. Title

Concise and informative (max. 16 words)

Capitalize the first letter of each main word

Avoid abbreviations
b. Author(s) and Affiliation(s)

Full name(s) of author(s)

Institutional affiliation(s)

Email address of corresponding author
c. Abstract
-
Maximum 200 words
-
Summarize the background, purpose, methods, results, and conclusion

Include 3–5 keywords below the abstract
d. Introduction

Brief background of the issue
-
Objective(s) of the community service
-
Relevance and significance of the work
e. Methodology

Description of the approach, target community, and implementation steps
-
Include tools, techniques, or models used
f. Results and Discussion

Outcomes of the activity
-
Impact on the community
-
Critical analysis and reflection on the process
g. Conclusion

Summarize the main findings and recommendations
h. Acknowledgements (if applicable)

Credit individuals or institutions that supported the project
i. References

Use APA (7th edition) style
-
Include only sources cited in the manuscript

Minimum 10 references, preferably from the last 5 years
4. Plagiarism Policy

All submissions will be checked using plagiarism detection software.
-
Manuscripts with similarity index above 20% will be rejected automatically.
5. Review Process

All manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.

The editorial team reserves the right to edit articles for clarity and format without altering the content.
6. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
